Lorenz LS-152 Gear Shaper
S/N
14458, 1986
Fully Remanufactured
This machine has been completely rebuilt and was displayed
at the 2003 AGMA show in Columbus OH. The original Heckler & Koch CNC has
been replaced with a NUM Power 1050, running MTB's custom gear shaping
conversational program. The drives and motors have been replaced with NUM MDLU Digital servos that are coupled to the NUM 1050 via a high speed
digital link. The spindle drive is an Indramat Refu system coupled to a
Marathon Black Max motor. All the scales and feedback systems have been
replaced, as well as the complete machine wiring.
The machine was stripped down to the bare
castings, and all bearings, seals, gears, screws, and other miscellaneous
parts were closely examined and replaced as required. The ways were
inspected and deemed in excellent shape and the hydrostatic shaping guide
was in perfect condition as well. The machine was completely repainted
both inside and out in it's original factory color scheme.
